Since the British left its mark in Malaysia, Penang quickly rose to become Malaysia’s earliest commercial and trade center due to its strategic location on the straits. The import and export trade knowledge, experience and legacy left by the British played a part in promoting Penang’s economy and allowed the people of Penang to build the foundation and concept of commercial transactions locally and internationally. An influx of immigrants and labor have contributed, to the economic rise in the early days. This unique migration pattern has also seen their culture and traditions being imparted in Penang; resulting to a harmonious and multicultural exchange; a trait of Penang.

Our Group was first founded by a family who was born and grown up in Penang. The business started more than 40 years ago by the first generation of founders who have gained vast experience in the tea and coffee industries, having met with estate farmers, owners, growers from all around the world. Seeing her family working hard, she naturally developed a keen business mindset from a young age., The second-generation too has been in the industry for over 25 years. With the vision to reach out to more Creators and Entrepreneurs to promote coffee and tea, she founded ‘Aromatic’ in 2015.
